No. Members do not browse or swipe through an unlimited catalogue. Basics is a private community where a human matchmaker prepares considered introductions.
Is everyone accepted?+
No. Every application is reviewed. Acceptance depends on age eligibility, readiness, community fit, safety, capacity and whether we believe we can offer a thoughtful service.
Who can join?+
Basics is strictly for people aged 22 and over. We welcome different genders, orientations, cultures, countries and cities while keeping membership curated.
How does an introduction happen?+
Your matchmaker shares a limited private profile with each person. You can choose Interested, ask a private question or Pass. Contact details unlock only when both people are interested.
Will the other person know if I pass?+
They will know the introduction is not moving forward, but your private reason or question is never sent directly to them.
What does the first six months on us mean?+
If accepted, your complimentary matchmaking period begins when your application is accepted. Any paid plan after that is tailored and agreed with you before a charge.
Can I use only the dating dashboard?+
Yes. The dashboard is available separately for tracking up to five people. You do not need to be accepted for matchmaking to use it.
How private is private?+
Your application and introductions are limited to approved staff and the person being considered. Dashboard scores, reflections and notes remain yours; staff can see account details and saved names for support and safety.
Can Basics contact me if I create a dashboard?+
Yes. By creating or using a dashboard, you agree that Basics may email you about your account, community news and relevant matchmaking opportunities. You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time.
